The West Prince Red Clay Bluegrass & Old-Time Music Festival is being held in Tignish again this year August 14 – 16,2009. The festival is happening in Tignish at West Prince Heritage Property. Chiasson Rd. Featuring bluegrass and old-time music bands from across Canada and USA. This is a great festival and is very well attended. There is trailer camping available onsite, details with John at 902-882-2364. There are beach rentals in the area, as Tignish is along the picturesque north shore of Prince Edward Island.

One Inn in the area that is perfect for vacation rentals is the Tignish Heritage Inn. This wonderful restored Inn, located in Tignish, Prince Edward Island, it was, at one time a Catholic Girls School run by the Church. Beautiful old trim, wide staircases and high ceilings are just some of the features of this historic building. The hardwood flooring in the hallways on the main floor lead to spacious rooms which have been restored with a view to preserving the history of this building. Originally built in the 1860’s, each of the seventeen rooms has a great view of the grounds and surrounding areas within Tignish.
